Dear NIGF-Community,

Good day, I hope this email meets every one of you well.

On behalf of the United Nations Secretary-General Mr. António Guterres, 
the NIGF has the honor to ‎invite you ‎to the sixteenth meeting of the 
United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF), to ‎be held in Katowice, 
Poland, and online, from 6 to 10 December 2021.‎

The sixteenth IGF has the overarching theme: ‎‎''Internet United''. The 
Forum aims at bringing together participants from different ‎stakeholder 
groups and some of the most prominent individuals in the global Internet 
‎governance discussion from across the globe. ‎For more information on

While the IGF2021 is to be held physically in Poland, preparations are 
being ‎made to organize the IGF as a hybrid event, allowing qualitative 
participation of onsite and ‎online to achieve the goal of making the 
IGF as inclusive as possible.‎

--To this end, the Nigeria Internet Governance Forum in partnership with 
MicroBoss Technologies has organised a Remote Hub for the IGF2021 in the 
City of Abuja. This is to further bridge the gap between Nigeria and 
Poland by providing a means to ensure bottom-up participation in an 
enabling environment. At this hub, you can lend your voice to the 
betterment of the Internet. Please find details below:

_- More Info: The IGF Remote Hub in ABUJA, NIGERIA situated at Work and 
Connect a thriving innovation hub in the Jabi axis of the capital city 
of Nigeria would open its doors to interested members of the public 
willing to participate in this year's Internet Governance Forum and 
would connect all participants to live feeds from the UN assembled 
meeting._

_Experts in digital policy advocacy would be on ground to guide 
community members and newcomers to the digital policy space on how to 
grow interest and join the global debates happening around the world. 
Start-Up and businesses would also be guided on how to place their 
company to sit with global players and contribute to the development of 
policy that shapes the Internet and impact their operations on a global 
scale._

Leveraging on the sponsorship provided by MicroBoss Technologies, the 
Business constituency of the Internet Cooperation of Assigned Names and 
Numbers (ICANN/BC), the Global IGF, the Nigerian IGF, NITDA and NCC we 
are able bring the global IGF closer to Nigerians and provide 
mentorship, free Internet connectivity, Tea breaks, Lunch and other 
support to participants.

Asides having unrestricted access to the IGF meeting, participants can 
be guided to follow and contribute their perspectives to discussions 
ongoing live in various sessions, follow real-time closed captioning, 
contribute to local debates at the hub and stand a chance to win awesome 
gifts for constant attendance and engagement during the life of the hub.
